In chapter 2 of my journey, I reflect on the lives of my parents—my Christian mother and Muslim father—and the powerful influence their contrasting beliefs have had on my identity. Growing up as a lost Israelite and Edo songstress Goddess, I grapple with the duality of my upbringing. My mother, often labeled a sinner, and my father, regarded as a saint, share the middle name Lee, symbolizing their connection to Islam. Their union resulted in my existence, a merging of traditions that granted me wisdom, profound knowledge, and an endless love for music.
